Dr. Margaret studied medicine at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands and at the Free University of Berlin, Germany. After obtaining her degree for general medicine in 1985 she continued with postgraduate training in pediatrics, internal medicine, cardiology, emergency medicine as well as family medicine in several hospitals in Germany and in other countries like Saudi-Arabia (Jeddah). During her stay in Romania, she worked 5 years as a general practitioner for an increasing expat community after the revolution and set up a family medicine clinic. Before she moved to Dubai in august 2007, she worked in the Netherlands as a occupational health doctor and had to deal with a variety of patients with psychosomatic, social, medical as well as family medicine problems. Since 1998 she has also worked as a Dutch medical consultant and coordinator for a scientific cosmetic vigilance institute in Paris and has to deal which patients in the Netherlands, suffering from all kinds of allergic dermatological problems due to the use of various brands of cosmetics.
